Hey Stokebird Fam,
We're all about building stoke—the high-energy rides, epic adventures, and genuine camaraderie that make our community unique. But as much as we love pushing the limits, we also have a responsibility to be awesome stewards of our sport. We're riding in a time and place that’s under the spotlight—think Miami Beach during spring break, where every move we make is visible to the world.
Here’s our game plan:
Build, Don’t Break:
We’re here to set the tone. Whether you’re revving up for a long stretch or joining a group ride, remember that our behavior reflects on all of us. Let’s be the example the public sees—a crew that’s fun, respectful, and smart.
Ride Responsibly:
Follow the Speed Limits: Not just the posted speed limits, but our suggested Stokebird speed limits too:
5 mph when riding around pedestrians and dogs.
12 mph on normal group rides.
18 mph on fast group rides.
And always stick to the posted speed limit wherever it applies.
Follow ALL Traffic Laws: If you’re on the road, you’re operating as a car. Stop for lights and follow every traffic signal—unless an officer directs otherwise. Trust us, you can always catch up later; the flock rolls slow!
Be Kind Around Cars: Florida drivers can be unpredictable, and any aggression near traffic might be misinterpreted under ‘stand your ground’ laws. Keep it cool, be extra courteous, and remember—our goal is for everyone to leave alive, stoked, sunburned, and happy.
Group Riding: Keep a moderate, safe pace. There's no need to race unless you're well clear of everyone.
No Stunt Zone:
Save the wheelies and tricks for designated areas and times—this isn’t a stunt show, it’s a ride built on mutual respect and safety.
Visibility is Key:
Our rides are highly visible, especially during high-profile times like spring break in cities that matter. With headlines like “we're breaking up with spring break Miami Beach” making the rounds, it’s a reminder that our actions can either elevate or tarnish the image of our sport. We want to be known as the crew that rides with purpose and respect—showing the world that stoke is built on safety and community spirit.
Keep the Drama Off the Road:
Personal issues or conflicts are for off the trail. Our focus is on having a good time, building stoke, and riding smart. We’re not here to babysit personal drama—let’s leave that at the door.
Politics? Please Don't:
This year, let’s keep politics off our rides. Politics are a hot-button topic that only stokes tension and distracts from what we love most—riding and building community. No matter your views, let's agree to leave debates at home. Our ride is a politics-free zone where the only agenda is good times and safety for everyone.
Our mission is simple: enjoy every ride, make smart choices, and be ambassadors for our sport. When we ride responsibly, we not only keep ourselves safe but also pave the way for a positive, lasting legacy for our community.
Keep stoking, ride safe, and let’s show the world what Stokebird is all about!
